MGCB Issues 15 Gaming & Betting Approvals

Michigan Gaming Control Board has recently approved issuing provisional permits for fifteen platform providers to support the tribal casinos’ and commercial casinos online for sports and gaming betting offerings.

The launch is expected sometime in mid-January. The approved casinos will have to provide added regulatory requirements, which includes the platform’s independent testing. They also need to validate their internal controls and apply for the MGCB approval that ensures the integrity aspect of gaming. Besides these requirements, they will have to provide a list of employees and their relevant occupational licenses.

MGCB executive director, Richard Kalm, said that MGCB could approve the licenses’ after the casinos have filed with the Great Seal office as per the managerial rules regarding online sports and gaming betting on the 2nd of December.
